Upper Esophageal Cancer with Tracheo-esophageal fistula
A case of Upper Esophageal Cancer with Tracheo-esophageal fistula
A case of Upper Esophageal Cancer on Chemo developed a tracheo-esophageal fistula and had cough with liquids. The fistula was just 3 cms distal to cricopharynx.
A Fully covered special Cervical Esophageal Metal Stent was inserted to cover the fistula. Very little margin of error as it was close to cricopharynx.
A fully expanded metal stent seen on X ray. Patient s symptoms subsided and did well.
